beautiful coloring, especially lovely with the raindrops.
I loved the Purple Coneflower with the butterfly on it. Also liked the Tiger Lily & the Daisy 2 post.
Your fireworks photos were pretty awesome. Much better than mine. I should have gotten closer to the Washington Monument. Oh well. The Zebra Grass was very interesting. Don't think I've seen that before.
How do you know so many flower & plant names? Do you do research? I take lots of flower(etc.) photos, but don't usually know the names, unless I can remember the sign, do some research or see them on someone's blog.
When I was eighteen or so I had a copy of a North American wildflower guide. For some reason I could not stop reading this book and matching it up to plants I saw growing around my house. It kind of became a game to see which ones I could find next when I was out hiking. Unfortunately I lost the book a few years back, but I memorized quite a few of the flowers, and some facts about them. The ones I don't remember I look up on the net, on various online wildflower guides.
