Let me warn you about this little wild cactus. This one has been growing naturally in my parents yard for years and has big spines and unfortunately for me very small spines that you don't see till its too late.
I just got lucky on the lighting. The sun came out blinding for a few seconds. We have a plant called Stinging Nettle that has little poison filled stinging hairs on its stem. It burns like fire if you touch it. Be carefull Patty. I know it grows in Texas If you haven't already found out. :)

Looks beautiful. But the spines are tricky, that's true.
evil tiny needles! i've been twice attacked by them! and they're not easily completely removed. they'll break off & leave a part inside the skin.
