Unknown.

If anyone knows the name of any of the unidentified flowers on this blog, please feel free to leave the name in the comments. The closest I can figure out is Vervain.

Hello

For the next couple of weeks it is going to be hard for me to visit all my favorite blogs. My mother has been ill and I have been taking her to the doctor 3 times a week so I don't have much time. She has to take chemo therapy but she is ok and that is the important thing. I will be browsing your sites as much as I can and I will keep posting pictures although they may not be very good. There are some really good blogs and photoblogs out there and I will be sure to check your archives. :)

Prickly Pear Cactus.

Let me warn you about this little wild cactus. This one has been growing naturally in my parents yard for years and has big spines and unfortunately for me very small spines that you don't see till its too late.

These plants grow alongside roads in our area. Although not carnivorous, the leaves close rapidly if touched.

Damage

Not trying to be artistic here. I just wanted to show you some damage that a small tornado did a couple of days ago. I didn't count all the trees that were down because this was private property but I counted around 25 in this spot. If you look in the background you can see other trees laying the same direction. The tornado didn't come all the way down and eyewitnesses said it went just above the trees.

My Backyard.

A photo of my backyard. As you can see I have not mowed in a while. If you look in the lower right you can see a owl house my girlfriend built. Okay the mowing joke was not funny.

Hungary workers get shock at bottom of rum barrell.

Here is a creepy story I came across on the web. Link

Storms all night.

Well we had storms all night again and a lot of our area is flooded. Me and my girlfriend were in debate about whether we should cross this low water bridge or not and we decided to go the only other way. We live in Oklahoma and the weather is very unpredictable here. Its tornadoes one day and clear skies the next.

Five petal pink rose.

I'm guessing this rose is closer in lineage to the wild rose.
